Ready to serve. Ready to lead. Ready to stay.
Conservative Republican Candidate — 2026
Kim Bienash was raised with the rural agricultural values that define this region — hard work, self-reliance, and community. His father served as Director of Public Works and his mother taught at the school for the blind, instilling in Kim from an early age that public service isn't a career choice, it's a responsibility.
Kim's career is as wide-ranging as McNairy County itself. He started working on farms and in the crop dusting business at 18, went on to power line crew work, law enforcement, and rentals and leasing. He received formal pilot training while also serving as a logistics and operations specialist, before spending over a decade as a professional helicopter pilot with some of the nation's largest aviation operators — Omni Flight, Tomcat, and Allied. After years in aviation, he brought his airframe expertise into manufacturing, building custom machines before being recruited to Selmer in 1993 to launch United Stainless. Kim has been part of this county's industrial fabric ever since.
He served as 3rd District County Commissioner and on the Industrial Development Board, and has spent the last 5 years as a full-time volunteer Director of McNairy County Archive and Records. He has volunteered through storm damage response, emergency management, damage assessments, road surveys, tornado recovery, and water and food distribution throughout the 2023–2026 disaster seasons. His wife — a retired McNairy County school board employee who still volunteers in afterschool programs — shares his lifelong commitment to this community.
"It's not a McNairy problem, a Selmer problem, or an Adamsville problem — it's all of our problem, and we have to solve it together."

Kim's Vision for McNairy County
Maintaining consistent job growth is the engine that funds everything else. As Mayor, Kim will meet monthly with every industrial leader in the county to ensure their needs are met, they feel welcome, and they can rely on McNairy County government as a partner — not an obstacle.
County government must run efficiently. Kim will examine every program for opportunities to run leaner and smarter — because every dollar saved is a dollar that can go toward roads, safety, and services that residents actually need.
Piecemeal fixes are costing us more in the long run. Kim will work with every city in the county to develop real 10–20 year infrastructure plans — roads, bridges, utilities — so we're building for the future instead of patching the past.
Protecting the lives and property of McNairy County citizens is the number one responsibility of county government. Kim will fully support all first responders — law enforcement, fire, and EMS — with the tools, training, and resources they need.
McNairy County residents shouldn't pay more than necessary for solid waste services. Kim will pursue cheaper options and explore greater state involvement to reduce costs and improve service for every household in the county.
Kim is committed to completing and sustaining our Emergency Room in partnership with Magnolia so future generations can rely on local healthcare. He'll also pursue housing grants through Southwest TN Development District to address the housing shortage — including homes still unrepaired from tornado damage.
Trusted by those who've led McNairy County
Kim is proud to be endorsed by former McNairy County Mayors Larry Smith, Jai Templeton, and Mike Smith. Their support represents something bigger than any one person — it’s about bringing McNairy County together.
“My loyalty is to the office and the people it serves, and unity is how we lead.”— Kim Bienash

Exciting things are happening at McNairy County Archives! Thanks to a generous donation from Susan and Robert Hensley, the Archives now houses a state-of-the-art Bookeye 5 scanning system — technology that allows staff to digitize fragile, important historical records and expand access to researchers locally and around the world.
Thank you to the McNairy County News and reporter Drew Wheeler for featuring the Archives' latest effort. Preserving McNairy County's history is a responsibility Kim takes personally — and this new equipment is a major step forward in making our records accessible for generations to come.
Kim recently attended an exposition organized by Arts in McNairy (AIM), showcasing the work of talented local artist Wendy Kim. The event highlighted the vibrant creative community right here in McNairy County.
"Wendy is one of my favorite local artists, and I believe her work is well suited to be included in the grant that AIM received for rural hospitals. I have donated the piece for the new Magnolia McNairy ER Facility in McNairy County."
In the spirit of community investment, Kim donated one of Wendy's pieces to the new Magnolia McNairy Emergency Room Facility — ensuring that patients and families will be greeted by the beauty and warmth of local art for years to come.
"Leadership isn't about titles, it's about showing up, listening, and making tough decisions when they matter."
A government that works for the people — with respect, fairness, and transparency for every McNairy County resident. Let's build it together.
We'd love to hear from you
